You can your muffins tastier by adding the crunchy top on it. The crunchy top doesn’t only make your muffin more delicious, but it also make it more attractive and fragrant. It is not very difficult to make the crunchy muffin top for you muffins. All you need is a little time and few ingredients.

  • Cookie crumbs or oats: ½ cup
  • Melted butter: ¼ cup
  • Brown sugar: ¼ cup
  • Flour: 2 tbsp
  • Cinnamon: 1 tsp
  • Powdered sugar: 1 cup
  • Chocolate: 6 oz
  • Milk: 2 tbsp
Instructions
  1. First of all, you have to decide which ingredients you want to use for your topping. You can make you topping by using many combinations of different ingredients. The most liked ingredients for the muffin tops include peanut butter, pecan, oatmeal, banana muffin and cranberry.
  2. If you intend to make the chocolate banana muffin, you can use dried bananas and chocolate as topping. Furthermore, if you want to make apple muffin, caramel and cinnamon will be best as topping.
  3. After deciding what ingredients you want to use to make your muffin topping, you have to cut them into small bites. For instance, if you are using chocolate, chop it into small pieces. In addition, if you are using any kind of nuts, grind them before using. On the other hand, if you want to use fruits e.g. raisins, dried cranberries, apples or banana chops, you will have to make small bites of them before adding them on the muffins as topping.
  4. Then, you have to make the crunch for your muffins. You can use oats, crisp star ingredients or crushed cookies. Take half a cup of oats and mix them with brown sugar and flour. Add cinnamon and mix all the ingredients well. After that, take a pan and melt some butter in it. Drizzle the oats on the melted butter and add some milk into it.
  5. Put the mixture on the semi-baked muffins and place them in the oven again. Bake them until they get brown. Take them out and enjoy your muffins with crunchy topping.
