How to Make Lemonade Syrup

When feeling thirsty in summers, lemonade syrup is the best option to quench your thirst. It is used in making several fresh beverages and can be stored for later purposes. In case you are storing it for later usage, it will sit. You are required to stir it well before using so it can be mixed well. You can add lemon zest to further liven up the taste and colour of the lemonade.

Lemons: 16
Sugar: 3 cups

    Make 2 tbsp. Of zest

    You need to make two tablespoons of zest and you can make it with help of three lemons. Take off the yellow peel of these three lemons but watch out for the white. You are not supposed to grate the white of the lemon. Continue doing this until you get two tablespoons of zest.

    Roll the lemons

    Next you need to roll the lemons with the help of your palm. Place them on a hard surface before rolling the lemons. You need to press harder so you can make the juice with ease. Later cut these lemons into half with the help of knife. Place these lemons on a cutting board before slicing them into two pieces.

    Squeeze out the juice

    You need to squeeze the lemon in order get the juice. First place a strainer on the measuring cup and then squeeze the lemon juice. By this you will be able to separate the pulp and seeds. After separating these, you need to throw them away in a bin.

    Add zest and sugar

    After squeezing the lemon juice, place three cups in a sauce pan. Then you need to add three cups of sugar and two tablespoons of zest which you former earlier. Later you need to pour in water. Take one cup of water and add it in the saucepan.

    Boil the mixture

    In the end you need to boil the mixture by placing the saucepan on the stove. Use medium to high heat for boiling. After boiling you need to pour the mixture into airtight container. Then place it in a refrigerator or a freezer and use afterwards.
