How to Make the Best Guacamole

Guacamole is a perfect blend of ripe avocados, salt and lemon juice. It is very nutritious and can be served as an appetizer before lunch or supper. In addition, it can also be served at parties as a dip for chips and crackers.

Ingredients
Ripe avocados: 2
Red onion (minced): 1/2 cup
Serrano chiles, stems and seeds removed (minced): 1-2
Cilantro (leaves and tender stems), finely chopped: 2 tbsp
Fresh lime or lemon juice: 1 to 3 tbsp
Coarse salt: 1/2 tsp
Freshly grated black pepper: 1 dash
Ripe tomato, seeds and pulp removed (chopped): 1

    First of all, you have to cut the avocados in half. Then, remove its pit and scoop the meat out of the peel. Put it in the mixing bowl.

    Take a fork and mash the avocados in the mixing bowl. Don’t mash it for too long, as you should keep the avocados a little chunky. Now, add cilantro, lime, lemon, chopped onion, salt and pepper. Then, mash the mixture a little bit more.

    Now, add the chili pepper to the mixture. You must know that chili pepper adds hotness and spiciness to any dish. Therefore, you must use the chili pepper carefully, as even a small excess amount will ruin your guacamole.

    Please note that the tomatoes can cause the flavour of the guacamole to deteriorate if they are left in for too long. So, don’t add them into the guacamole until you are ready to serve.

    Cover the guacamole with plastic wrap in order to prevent any kind of oxidation and place it in the refrigerator until it is time to serve it.

    Before serving, chop a few tomatoes and add them into the guacamole. Additionally, you can also use mint leaves as a topping - they will give the guacamole a fresh look and smell.
