Healthy diet and excess of water is very important along with the use of colchicine. You should have a specific diet plan after consulting your doctor and keep drinking a lot of water every day to get the best results of colchicine treatment.
You must keep using colchicine until your doctor tells you to stop the medication. Colchicine relieves gout pain rapidly but if you stop using the medicine too early, the pain might return after some days.
Colchicine should always be kept in cool and dry place but never in a refrigerator.
Colchicine might cause stomach disorders, including diarrhoea and vomiting, and you better contact your doctor if any such thing happens to you.
