Top 10 Reasons why you should Never Commit Suicide

Sometimes life becomes so tough that one is forced to believe that the only way to end the misery is by ending life itself. This may sound a bit extreme, but a suicidal person does not view it that way since he is completely void of hope. He can see only darkness ahead and treading into darkness ahead, darkness and never-ending pain.

While it is hard to argue with the fact that life does tend to become extremely frustrating and depressing at times, committing suicide is not the answer. Once you go ahead with the act, you cannot undo it. There are so many reasons to stay away from this heinous and weak act, so many reasons why you should continue to hold your ground and put up a fight.

Think about people who want to live, but have no other choice

There are so many people in the world who are dying because of some disease. They want nothing more than to live a longer life. You, on the other hand, are taking this blessing for granted. Think about those people and value what you have.

    The future is unknown

Even if you think that the future is dark, you cannot know it for certain unless you have actually stepped into the future. You cannot know the events of next minute, let alone the next day or month. Stop assuming stuff and cherish life.

Do not take God’s most precious gift for granted

Life is an invaluable thing, probably one of the greatest blessings of God. Do not take it for granted.

    Do not give up

Giving up is a sin in many religions and even if you are a non-religious person, giving up will simply establish the fact that you are a loser. Do not become a loser and learn to put up a fight. Things are bound to get better.

    The butterfly effect

Committing suicide may end your role in the world, but it may trigger a series of events that will affect those close to you, including your family, friends and anyone who else who is associated with you.

Explore other ways to hurt others

If you want to get back at someone who hurt you, there are better ways to do this than by ending your life. Think up of a better way to hurt them, like living life to the fullest and making them feel envious of you.

Do not end the story prematurely

Nobody likes incomplete things and the same is the case with life. If you try to finish your life prematurely, you will never get to learn the end of your story. You may have left the story, but it will continue without you, with the spotlight shifting to those who have been affected by your death. Unfortunately, you will not be there to witness, experience or play any role in it.

Do not hurt the people you love

Stop being selfish and think about all those people that will be affected by your death. You may think that you are a lone ranger, but you are not. It is a fact and the sooner you come to terms with this, the better.

Do not set a bad example for others

Committing suicide just because you have suffered a huge disappointment or going through severe depression is not at all sensible or logical. To make matters worse, watching you put an end to your misery through suicide will plant the same ideas in the minds of others, who may end up doing the same thing.
