I know how hard it can be to pull yourself away from a really good book. But taking a short break is worth it if it means not suffering from a tension headache.
Take similar breaks if you’re studying, or doing paperwork.
Sleep a Tension Headache Away
A tension headache can actually be caused by lack of sleep. If you stayed up late last night studying or watching a DVD, or you just haven’t been getting as much sleep as you usually do for whatever reason, this could be the cause of your tension headache.
If possible, take a short nap. This could be all you need to make that tension headache go away.
You should also try to get more sleep at night. Being well-rested will help cut down on the occurrence of tension headaches.
