Apple Os X Mountain Lion Goes On Sale

The latest announcement from Apple clears doubts of many fans who were eagerly waiting for the new version of Mac Operation System. The announcement claims its release will be today.

With the help of OS X Mountain Lion, users can post their material on different social networking sites such as Twitter, Vimeo, Flickr and other services. A new feature of notification panel has also been added which is offered on many smartphones as well.

The company announced the news yesterday in its third quarter earning results.

“We’re thrilled with record sales of 17 million iPads in the June quarter,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “We’ve also just updated the entire MacBook line, will release Mountain Lion tomorrow (Wednesday) and will be launching iOS 6 this Fall. We are also really looking forward to the amazing new products we’ve got in the pipeline.”

Apple said that every consumer who is going to buy the new Mac or have bought it after June 11 will enjoy a free upgrade.

The company said around 40% Mac users are currently using Lion and about 50% are still running the older version, Snow Leopard, on their systems.

Mountain Lion is a relatively significant upgrade that is compatible with the iPhone and iPad operating system, iOS. It enables users to view Reminders, Notes, Messages and other important notifications automatically connected between devices.

Just before Apple’s Worldwide Developers’ Conference in June 2012, there was a prediction about the expected new features in the Mountain Lion. During the event, Apple CEO Tim Cook showed off more than 200 new features added in the Mountain Lion.

However, these features are for the current Lion or Snow Leopard users only. All those who are still using the previous version will have to upgrade to Snow Leopard before getting Mountain Lion into their systems. And in case you are using pre-2009 Mac, chances are your system might not support Mountain Lion.
