Why you want to quit?
First of all, you must know why you want to break your caffeine addiction. There are number of reasons for which people quit caffeine intake. The most common reasons include tooth decay, weakened bones, toxic intake, anxiety, disturbance in sleep, problems in pregnancy and decrease in libido (sexual performance). Just make a list of your own reasons to quit caffeine addiction and place the list somewhere you can see it easily. It will keep you motivated.
Have faith in yourself
Quitting any drug is not easy. Therefore, it is extremely important for you to have faith in yourself in order to break the caffeine addiction.
Be realistic and determined
You must know that you cannot get rid of caffeine addiction in a couple of days as the process usually takes around a few weeks. So, you have to be realistic about breaking the caffeine addiction. Moreover, please note that you may face severe headaches, flu-like symptoms, poor motor skills, fatigue and difficulty in concentrating during your recovery period. Therefore, you must be determined to achieve your goal.
Start taking green tea
It will be better to start taking green tea at least once a day. Green tea contains a very mild quantity of caffeine and will make it easier for you to break caffeine addiction gradually.
Drink a lot of water
You must drink a lot of water in order to keep your body stable. Drink at least 2 to 3 litres of water daily.
