Baking soda and honey:
Dissolve some baking soda in water to make a thick paste. Scrub it on your face and leave for a minute. Wash off with mild water. Apply honey on you lips now and leave it on for ten minutes. A great remedy that brings sure changes if followed regularly. Mornings are the best time to do this.
Wash and Rub:
Wash the lips in circular slow motions with an old tooth brush. Once they are smooth and soft, rub petroleum jelly over them with fingers. Wash with mild warm water. The process exfoliates your lips, removing the dead cells and leaving behind a darker but fresh shade on the lips.
Lemon and almond oil:
A mixture of lemon juice and almond oil rubbed on your lips will make them pulpy and restore any color that is lost to the sun. Lemon juice is as good for your lips as for the skin.
The rosiness and volume of your lips has a direct relationship with the amount of water in them. Dry lips appear chaffed and turn the shade of dark that you mostly do not want. But if you do want to have dark lips naturally, then avoid drinking a lot of water or making them wet with your saliva.
Use a lip balm that contains an SPF sun protection. This will help in keeping the natural color of your lips and prevent them from being chaffed. However, a little sun will help you get a darker shade of lips.
