Tickets and dates:
The museum is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays of the week. It is open from Wednesday from 11 am till 6 pm. On Thursdays, the closing time extends to 10 pm while on the first Saturday of each month, the timings are from 5 pm to 11 pm.
Tickets can be bought at the visitor center of the museum. Tickets are also available on the official website with the additional charges of $2. You can also become a member online to enjoy privilege rates.
Ticket prices for adults are $12 while for students and senior citizens it is $8. Children under the age of 12 who are accompanied with adults are charged no ticket. Tickets that include a visit to the architectural garden are charged higher.
The number of paintings and work on display is going to grab your attention for a great time. There are numerous current exhibitions and many other long term installations. The long term exhibitions include Life, Death, and Transformation in the Americas, African Innovations, Small Wonders from the American Collections, The Dinner Party by Judy Chicago, and the mummy chambers.
Apart from the exhibitions, there are regular learning programs at the museum for students and teachers on leadership, history etc. School tours to the museum can prove to be great learning experiences.
Shop at the Brooklyn museum:
There is a shop inside the museum from where you can take home amazing crafts with yourself, as a reminder of the great time you had here. The shop has jewellery, paintings, maps, books, stationary and toys for children. You can also shop online on the official website of the museum. Various sales are also held according to calendar on special events like Valentines.
