You also need to make sure to tell them about any employee benefits such as insurance and discounts that they may receive after being employed by the company after a certain amount of days. You need to include shift schedule’s and also include the responsibilities of each employee.

Another important thing is to include the dress code. Information about breaks during work and also where the staff is suppose to park in the parking lot each day. Make sure to include the pay schedule in there too. Another thing to cover in the manual is where the employee’s are suppose to go on their breaks and where designated smoke area’s are for those who smoke during breaks.

Use of cellular phones and company phones also need to be discussed in the employee manual book. Another thing that you may want to include in the manual is whether or not the break rooms include a microwave and fridge.

2.How should the lay out go? You need to have a table of contents at the beginning of the manual. You need to put the subject topics in bold so that it is easier to find information quickly when browsing through the manual. Make sure to put page numbers on each page of the book.

Another thing to do is to divide the manual into chapters to organize the information even more better. Make sure to put the different sections within the chapters in bold print so they can spot it easy. Color pictures also make the manual interesting. Color text is also important to make text stick out from the rest of the text.

3.What about the text size and colors? Make sure that the text is large enough for senior citizens to read. The font being a size 12 or more should be perfectly fine to read. You can use colors such as red, green, and blue to make certain text stand out more. You can also put some of that text into bold or italics. 5.Security Information. If you have a security system at the company then you include information such as security cards, replacement cards, and any other information regarding the security alarms. You need to have rules about unauthorized access and other regulations in the manual book. You also need to answer any questions that an individual may have about it. You also need to include information about computer files and rules regarding access to certain files. You may want to include information regarding Internet use and emails during work hours.
