Beware the “Boxer Puppy For Sale” scams

When responding to an ad, either in your local paper or online, it’s wise to remember the old saying, “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.” Unfortunately, there are criminally-minded people who are always looking for an easy mark to swindle, so arm yourself with knowledge so you won’t be one of them.

The most important thing you can do to protect yourself from scammers is to get as much information as you can about the breeder or private owner of a boxer puppy for sale. Never give out your bank information without first making sure the seller is legitimate and you feel comfortable buying from them. Be wary of individuals who pressure you to quickly make a decision about buying their boxer puppy, or try to speed up your transaction once you’ve agreed to take their puppy.

Good luck finding the perfect puppy!
