Keep Your Home Organized with Weekly Purging

If you have recently worked very hard at getting your home organized, and in perfect order, than the last thing that you want is to suddenly have your home messed up all over again. In most cases people will find that after just two weeks their home will end up in total chaos again. The key to making sure that once your home is organized it actually stays that way is to give your home weekly purging.

This basically means that on a weekly basis you will need to go through all of your papers, and closets and see what you don’t need. Usually what tends to pile up the most are papers. You constantly get junk mail on an almost daily basis, and a lot of people have a tendency to just let it sit around until it is out of control. Going through your closets is also a good idea in order to make sure that you get rid of any items that may suddenly be too small for you or for your children. Just remember not to get rid of important papers, that you may end up needing for tax time. All it really takes is about an hour a day at the end of the week to get rid of all of the items that you no longer need. Now would it really be that difficult to fit an extra hour into your Friday or Saturday schedule in order to keep your home neat and organized.

Of course this does not mean that you have to be some type of neat freak who has to have everything in their home one hundred percent perfect. If however you put a lot of time and effort into getting your home organized, than the last thing that you want is to have to do that all over again in a few months. If you are really determined to keep your home neat and organized you will make sure that weekly purging is definitely a part of your routine. Eventually purging will become a part of your regular routine, and you find that it is pretty simple to keep up with. This should also include going through your children’s clothing items on a weekly basis to ensure that they don’t have any toys laying around that they no longer play with. Or any toys that may be broken and can no longer be used. Remember that once you get it organized, weekly purging will keep it that way.
