Non-surgical Approaches to Breast Enlargement and Enhancement

There has been a lot of controversy about the safety of breast implants. Silicon caused many problems several years ago. Since then many cosmetic surgeons have used the safer alternative of saline implants.

Deciding to get implants is a major decision and could end up being life-threatening and even disfiguring if the procedure goes wrong. Before you decide to get implants to make your breast larger you may want to try some age-old non-surgical techniques to enhance your breasts.

Breast enhancing exercises have been around since women decided they wanted larger breasts. These exercises are actually chest exercises and while they may not increase the size of the breast tissue, they will help build the underlying muscle. The herb fenugreek was used a century ago for many female conditions such as menstrual pain, menopause and post menopause vaginal dryness.

Fenugreek contains diosgenin, which is the most widely used compound in over 60% of the steroids produced by the pharmaceutical industry.

Some women use powdered fenugreek and mix it with a few drops of vegetable oil to make a paste. This could be used as part of a spa treatment by rubbing it onto the breasts. If you try this herb expect to smell like maple syrup.

Saw palmetto is best known for it’s ability to shrink the prostrate gland in men, but it appears to have the opposite effect on breasts. Most sources indicate that saw palmetto should be taken with a number of other herbs for the desired effects. Herbs such as fenugreek, fennel and wild yam. It should also be noted that large doses of saw palmetto has been shown to increase breast size but has also increased the size of the uterus. It is not known if this could lead to breast or uterine cancer.

Wild yam has been used in the treatment of arthritis and many Native American women used it as an aid in childbirth. Wild yam creams have been shown to “plump” up the fat cells within the breasts which cause them to look fuller.

The Brava Breast Enhancement and Shaping System has very promising results of making the breasts larger. The Brava must be worn for 10 hours a day for 10 weeks. The downside to the Brava system is the cost, which is normally around $2500, but is still cheaper and safer than surgery.
