Where EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution) is a much faster services which is more advanced and efficient as compared to GPRS. This is simple because GRPS cannot allow services providers around the world to allow users to access extended wireless data applications, which EDGE is known for.
EDGE, which is also known as enhanced GRPS, can allow both TDMA and GSM carriers to provide extensive internet services along with using this as a base to implement 3G technology for much faster internet connectivity. The disconnection rate is also much better as compared to GPRS and allows mobile devices to access the internet in a more modern way, meeting the current demands of data applications on smartphones as well.
