Difference Between Vitamin B6 and Vitamin B12

Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) is very important for the human body, as it participates in the metabolism of carbohydrates and fats. This vitamin has a beneficial effect on the heart muscle system and it plays a significant role in relaxing them.

Lack of B6 in the body can occur due to many reasons and can lead to infections such as diarrheal, enteritis, neuritis, diabetes mellitus and Parkinson’s disease. Vitamin B6 is recommended in the form of tablets and injections.

Vitamin B12 is responsible for nail growth and healthy colour. This vitamin can be found out in cheese, meat and fish.

    Patients are recommended to take Vitamin B6 by mouth after a meal: the adult are recommended to use 20-30 mg one or two times a day and for children the dose should be chosen according to their age and meeting with a specialized person or doctor. The course of treatment with this drug is about two months.

    Teenagers suffering from acne are also advised to take pyridoxine, but better in the shape of ointments. Such technique relieves redness and inflammation of the skin in most cases nowadays.
