Dill and Prawn Salad Recipe

Salads are prepared with raw and fresh fruits, veggies and herbs. These are usually served as side dishes but they can make great meals as well when prepared with meats and veggies or herbs. Prawn and dill salad is one such salad.

Together with prawns and dill this is a super tasty main course salad that is usually served as a full meal together with pita bread or rice. It can also be a great option for burgers or sandwiches stuffing. It can also be served alone along with some asparagus and green chilies. There can be various ways to prepare this salad by adding different ingredients along with the base ingredients. To serve it as a full meal it is usually combined with mayonnaise or sour cream.

Utensils: Frying Pan, Salad Serving Bowl, Salad Serving Spoon, Standard Chopping Knife, Chopping Board.


– 1 kg prawns
– ½ cup dill
– ½ cup Olive Oil
– 1 cup mayonnaise
– 3 Lemons
– 1 tablespoon Vinegar
– 1 small Onion
– Salt (to taste)
– Grounded Black Pepper (to taste)

    Before getting started, wash the dill under fresh water and then let it dry.  Now finely chop the tiny bunches and set aside.

    Heat olive oil in a pan and add a pinch of salt and grounded black pepper in it to give it a taste. When it gets heated, add prawns in it and fry until they get pink. Take them out and drain.

    In a bowl, add the stated amount of mayonnaise, vinegar (to taste salt), and grounded black pepper and then whisk well.

    Now add the fried prawns in it and refrigerate for one hour or until the salad gets chilled.

    Garnish with dill and serve.
