  • 1

Cut the beets into small strips

Using a sharp knife of a vegetable cutter, slice the beets into small strips. However, remember not to slice them too thin, as they will become difficult to fry.

  • 3

    Toss the beets with cornstarch

Add some cornstarch into a bowl and combine the sliced beets with it. Toss them for a few seconds, so that they get coated.

  • 4

Heat vegetable oil in a pan

Take a medium sized pan and preheat it for a couple of minutes. Add vegetable oil to it and heat it until it becomes really hot.

  • 5

Fry the beets in hot oil

Fry the beats in hot oil and remove them before they start burning. You can now serve them with any salad or sandwiches of your choice.

  • 6

    Peel the turnips

While the beets are being cooked on medium heat, wash the turnips properly and peel them.

  • 7

    Slice and fry

Slice the turnips and fry them in the oil, just like the beets, and they too will be ready.
