How to Make a Tequila Sunset Cocktail

Tequila Sunset Cocktail is one of the most popular drinks of 70’s. It is prepared with some simple ingredients, including tequila, fresh orange juice, and Blackberry brandy. This amazing beverage is given the name for the unique way it looks after it has been dispensed into a cocktail glass.  Tequila Sunset Cocktail is known as a long drink and is typically served up in highball cocktail glasses.

Utensils: Cocktail Glass, Stirrer or Bar spoon


– 1 oz tequila
– 1 oz orange juice
– 1/2 oz blackberry brandy
– 1 fresh cherry for garnishing – optional
– Ice Cubes

    Fill your highball cocktail glass with ice cubes.

    Pour 1 oz of tequila into your highball cocktail glass filled with ice.

    Top the tequila with 1 oz of fresh orange juice.

    Note: If fresh oranges are not available in the market to extract their juice, then use the ready-made orange juice packet.

    Mix the ingredients well with the help of a bar spoon or a stirrer.

    Fill the remaining portion o your cocktail glass with ½ oz of blackberry brandy.

    Stir very lightly this time otherwise you cannot get the desired sunset effect.

    Garnish with a fresh cherry and serve.
