How to Make a Ti’Punch Cocktail

If you are throwing French themed party, then Ti’Punch is for sure a superlative welcome drink. The fusion of French and Caribbean beverage flavors will be tasted in this exquisite cocktail. People of Martinique, Haiti, French Guyana and Guadeloupe greatly admire this Ti’Punch, because Martinique is known for having the best rum in the world which grants a fabulous taste to this drink.

The basic ingredients of this drink are rum and can syrup; you can add any rum of your choice, it can also be a fruit rum. If you wish to make this drink sweet, then sugar can also be added. In France Ti’Punch drink is mostly prepared on traditional occasions and served before meal.

In bars the customer himself is given a chance to prepare this drink, so that they can add ingredients in the drink according to their own choice. If we go back to the history of this French Caribbean drink, it is known that ti’Punch cocktail was served without ice, but now it is added in order to give chilling effect and help the ingredients to blossom.

Preparation Time: 2 minutes
Utensils required: two short glasses, one cocktail stirrer and one knife
1 shot of sugar cane syrup
4 shots of white rum
2 limes
ice cubes (according to your requirement)

    Take a short glass and put half ratio of sugar cane syrup and then add rum in it.

    Then squeeze half lime in it and pour ice cubes.

    With a cocktail stirrer stir it once. Follow the similar procedure by adding rest of the ingredients in the other short glass.

    Before serving the cocktail, take another lemon and wash it properly. With a help of a knife cut small wedges of a lemon.

    Garnish the short glass with a wedge.

    Make sure the drink is chilled before it is served.
