Place 5 ½ ice cream sandwiches in the pan, and spread a layer of hot fudge topping at the top of it. Then spread half of the cool whip at the top of the fudge topping. Place 5 ½ ice cream sandwiches at the top to make the second layer of the cake. This time, spread cool whip at the top before adding hot fudge at the top of it.
