Pancakes are great way to start the day as they make the perfect food to have for breakfast. There are many different varieties of pancakes but the base is always a standard pancake mix. Most people buy pancake mix as it is readily available and not very expensive.
Ingredients
  • All-purpose flour - 1 and ½ cups
  • Sugar - 2 tbsp
  • Baking powder - 2 tsp
  • Baking soda - ½ tsp
  • Salt - ½ tsp
  • Milk - 1 ¼ to 1 ½ cups
  • Eggs - 2
  • Vanilla (option) - 1 tsp
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp
Instructions
  1. You need to take a mixing bowl and add all the dry ingredients.
  2. Add one and half cups of all-purpose flour, two tablespoons of sugar, two teaspoons of baking powder, half a teaspoon of baking soda and half a teaspoon of salt.
  3. Next you need to make the mixture by pouring in 1 ¼ cups of milk in the centre.
  4. If you want your mix to slightly thinner then you can add another ¼ cup of milk in the mixing bowl.
  5. Mix the ingredients thoroughly.
  6. Now you need to add two eggs and two tablespoons of vegetable oil.
  7. In case you are using vanilla then add one tablespoon in the mixture.
  8. Next, whisk all the ingredients until they are properly mixed.
  9. Once you have made the pancakes, you can serve them with a coating of strawberry maple syrup.
  10. Take a small saucepan and add one cup of maple syrup and one cup of quartered fresh strawberries.
  11. Cook the syrup mixture for almost 5 to 10 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
  12. In order to get the right consistency, cook over medium heat and keep on stirring the mixture.
