How to Make Beer Brats with Potato

Homemade beer brats with potatoes are generally considered to a difficult food to make. Without following the right procedure, it is almost impossible to achieve the right taste and flavour. Luckily, there are numerous recipes that you can follow to prepare this heavenly dish for yourself and the entire family. All the ingredients required to prepare beer brats with potatoes can be easily purchased from your local grocery store.

Yield: 1 to 2 servings
Utensils: Mixing bowl, measuring cups, skillet or grill pan, spoons, meat grinder, sausage stuffer, stock pot or dutch oven, medium casings.

Meat (pork, veal or beef) refrigerated: 2 lbs of
Allspice: 1/4 teaspoon
Crushed caraway seed: 1/2 teaspoon
Dried marjoram: 1/2 teaspoon
Garlic powder: 1/2 teaspoon
Onion powder: 1/2 teaspoon
White pepper: 1 teaspoon
Salt: 1 teaspoon
Eggs: 2
Cold water: 1/4 to 1/2 cup
Sliced onion: 1 medium

    Before doing anything else, you must decide what method you want to choose to make beer brats with potatoes. Grilling is one of the most commonly used methods but you should choose the one that best suits your needs. Remember to use the method that is easy for you as you do not want to over complicate it. If you do not have a grill then you can always do this on top of the stove using a pan.

    Use a knife to cut beef into small pieces. It is recommended to take the meat into small cubes. Put the beef cubes in a meat grinder. For those who do not have a meat grinder, they can consider taking the meat to their local butcher shop. Put the ground beef into a large steel bowl. Remember to be careful when using the knife to cut the beef.

    Consider cleaning the beef mince using fresh and filtered water. Make sure all the blood is filtered out. Next, add all the spices you wish to use for your beer brats with potato. If possible, use only green chilies and black paper. Salt can be sprinkled as per your liking. Add the eggs, butter and cream and mix thoroughly with your hands.  If possible, add some fresh water into the mixture of beef and spices for better mixing results.

    Now place the brats in the oven or a grill. If possible, use charcoal grill as it ensure thorough cooking from both the inside and outside. Allow the meat to be grilled for at least. Meanwhile clean the potatoes and place them on one side of the grill on low heat. Remove the potatoes when they are cooked and sprinkle vinegar and soya sauce over it. Be careful while handling the potatoes as they will be very hot from the grill.
