Banana and Summer Berry Salad Recipe

The names of these two fruits are enough to make any salad lover shoot up from the couch and run to the kitchen to conjure up this treat. ¬†Mixed with yogurt and lemon juice, the salad gives a tinkling mixture of tangy and sweet taste which leaves you lost in the luxury. The bananas make the base while the delicious variety of summer berries make it truly delectable and a feast for the sight with all the vibrant colors. Utensils: mixing bowl, salad bowl

Ingredients:

– 300 g berries ( a mixture of strawberries, black berries, blue berries, rasp berries)
– 2 bananas
– 300g low fat yogurt
– 3 tablespoon honey
– 4 tablespoon fresh orange/lemon juice
– 2 tablespoon ground cinnamon
– pinch of garlic cloves
– fresh mint leaves for garnish

    Slice the large berries like straw berries. Leave the rest. Mix them all in a large bowl. Add the bananas after slicing them.

    Now add the yogurt to the fruits and stir well. Add the honey and lemon juice followed by ground cinnamon and cloves according to taste.

    Now refrigerate the salad for around two hours before serving. This will give it a firm taste and the flavors will blend together to form an amazing taste. When about to serve, garnish it with mint leaves and cinnamon.

    A variation of the salad is to not add any yogurt to the mixture initially. You can serve it in a separate bowl next to the salad and guests could add according to their preference.
