How To Make Bread and Butter Peppers

Bread and butter pepper is a very famous dish which is equally popular with children. You can make this dish with ease as it will take little time in preparation. Though the baking time will test your patience but overall this delicious, full of cream treat is very easy to make. You need to take some fresh banana peppers with some fresh vegetables including tomatoes to make this dish. Other ingredients are also important as they will enhance the taste and zest in the dish. There are many types of bread and butter peppers you can make but this particular one is the easiest to prepare in little time. With this fine dish, you can serve several people as it usually eaten at breakfast and is very famous in Europe and North America. Many restaurants also offer bread and butter peppers.

Ingredients:
Banana peppers, seeded and sliced: 7
Green peppers, julienned: 1 medium
Green tomato, halved and sliced: 1 medium
Jalapeno pepper, seeded and sliced: 1
Small onion, sliced: 1
Canning salt: 1/4 cup
Ice cubes: 12 -15
Sugar: 2 cups
White vinegar: 1 cup
Mustard seeds: 1 tablespoon
Celery seed: 1/2 teaspoon

Instructions

    Wash all the utensils before making your recipe. Make a habit that you always wash all the tools and utensils before doing anything related to cooking.

    Set aside every ingredient and try to start the recipe in calm manner. Now take a large bowl and put all kinds of peppers which are necessary for making bread and butter peppers.

    Along with all the peppers, put onion and salt in the bowl and stir together. Stir with firmness and let stand for almost two hours. This will enrich the taste into the onions and all the peppers will mix together nicely.

    Take a large saucepan and put all the other ingredients including sugar, vinegar, mustard seed and celery seed. Now put the saucepan on a stove and filled it with water. Bring to a boil and keep stirring the mixture well.

    Pour some pepper mixture and cover tightly and put it into the refrigerator. Take out after sometime and serve it with coffee or tea.
