    Fried chicken

    Yield: 6 to 8 servings
    Utensils: Two mixing bowls, deep fryer, plate

    Egg: 1
    Milk: 3 cups
    All-purpose flour: 1 cup
    Fine breadcrumbs: 3 cup
    Salt: 1 teaspoon
    Garlic powder (non salt): 1 teaspoon
    Onion powder (non salt): ½ teaspoon
    Paprika: 1 teaspoon
    Black pepper: 4 teaspoon
    Crisco cooking oil: 6 to 8 cups
    Fryer chicken: 2 fryer chickens which are cut into pieces
    Red Chili powder (optional if you want to make it spicy): 1 to 2 teaspoons
    Crushed onions: 1 teaspoon

    Make the batter

    First you need to make the batter. Take a mixing bowl and add an egg and three cups of milk to it.

    Add flour, breadcrumbs and seasonings in another bowl

    Get another bowl and add one cup of all-purpose flour, three cups of fine breadcrumbs, one teaspoon of salt, one teaspoon of non-salt garlic powder, ½ teaspoon of non-salt onion powder, 1 teaspoon of paprika and 4 teaspoons of black pepper. Then mix all the ingredients.

    Dip the chicken in the mixtures

    Now, take the chicken pieces one by one, and dip them in the flour mixture. Later, dip them in the batter and then again in the flour mixture. Get a plate and place the coated chicken on it.

    Add oil to the deep fryer

    Take a deep fryer and add six to eight cups of cooking oil. Make sure your fryer is suitable for frying your chicken. Turn the heat to medium. You can check the oil is hot with the help of water. Remember not to make the oil too hot.

    Place the chicken pieces in the deep fryer

    After heating the oil, you need to place the coated chicken in it and fry it.

    Remove the chicken

    When your chicken turns golden brown, you can remove it from the deep fryer.

    Place on paper towels before serving

    After removing the chicken from the deep fryer, place it on paper towels. Then serve it with coleslaw or a salad.

    Whole chicken: 1
    Olive oil: 3-4 tablespoons
    Salt and pepper: to taste

    When making a roasted chicken, it is best to use a whole chicken, and cook it on the bone in order to ensure that it retains all of its flavour. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Centigrade. Then place the chicken with its breast-side up in the roasting pan.
