Start the procedure by preheating the oven to 220 degrees C. After doing this take some time to properly wash or clean your hands and the entire work surface that you will be using to prepare this lovely dish. Also, be sure to wash the utensils, ingredients and other items that you will be using. Always keep your work area in the kitchen clean and free of clutter so that you can find what you need while cooking.
Take a bowl and combine the two liquid ingredients, chicken soup and mushroom soup. Then add the tomato slices.
Take a casserole dish and grease it with butter or olive oil. Depending on your own personal preference it might be a good idea to skip the butter and use olive oil in the casserole dish.
Now you will have to place a layer of tortilla, chicken, onion, bell pepper and cheese. Repeat the layering procedure until the casserole is not filled up. Cover the dish with cheese and sprinkle garlic salt along with chili powder. You can reduce the amount of chili powder that you depending on your own personal taste.
Place the dish in the oven and bake it for 45 minutes. Be sure to periodically check the dish while it is in the oven as you do not want to over cook or burn it.
Carefully remove it and serve it on a nice platter or dish that you find suitable. Remember it is entirely up to you as to how you want to serve this dish to your friends or family members. They will definitely enjoy this dish during dinner.
