When you make a decision to sell a car, you can earn a reasonable profit through a very simple process. You simply have to write a formal document that contains all the basic information regarding the transfer of ownership of a car from a seller to a buyer. An agreement letter for selling a car can be typed or written on a paper and must be signed by both parties to make it legal. The agreement should lay out the terms and conditions of the sale including all the information regarding the type of vehicle involved and the mode of payment acceptable to the seller.
You can write an agreement letter for selling your car by following the simple steps given below:
Start with the information about yourself
You will have to start the Bill of Sale with your name (Seller’s Name). Like, you can start with your (Seller’s) information, that says, “I [Your / Seller’s Name]. Add your address below your name. For example, “of (your / seller’s Address).
Mention the car Information
Now include the description of your car including the make, model and year. Do not forget to mention the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) in the description of your car. Example, do sell “a (car’s year, make, model).”
Write the odometer reading
Write the odometer reading of the car you are selling and add a disclaimer, stating that the odometer reading is correct to the best of your knowledge. In addition to odometer reading, include a statement certifying that you are not aware of anyone changing or adjusting the odometer prior to the sale. For example, “with VIN Number.”
Now mention that the buyer is purchasing your car
Now you have to mention that the buyer is purchasing your car along with the selling price. Like, “and odometer reading (Mileage).” Never forget to mention that you (Seller) is not providing the buyer with any kind of warranty and the buyer will be responsible for all necessary repair of the car.
Include spaces for signature of both parties
Include spaces for you and the buyer to sign the agreement along with a space below for the date.
