
Getting into graduate school is itself is a great academic achievement in a student’s life. However, it is the responsibility of the university and the admission committee to inform the student about his or her admission through a formal academic letter known as graduate school acceptance letter. Make sure to keep the acceptance letter simple and concise, describing the relevant things only like the confirmation of admission, department, admission criteria, orientation, etc. Once you type the graduate school acceptance letter, go through it few times in order to remove all kinds of typing and grammatical mistakes as it can create a negative image.
Write your (sender’s) contact information at the let top corner of the page. You can start with your full name followed by the sender’s designation, organization (university) name, City, State, Zip code, and sender’s phone number.

Leaving one line space, create a salutation followed by the surname of the student (receiver). Like, Dear Mr. / Ms. /Mrs. ABC.
Once you add salutation, skip one-enter space and write the introductory paragraph of the letter. Begin the graduate school acceptance letter by informing the student that you accept his or her position as a graduate student in your school / university. Make sure to be very specific in the first paragraph, naming the program, department etc.
State other details in the second paragraph of the graduate school acceptance letter. As if you can write about the date, on which the student is supposed to report at the school /university. You can write about the date, timing, and venue of the orientation if you are conducting any.
In the third paragraph of the letter, tell your new student that you look forward to seeing him or her on your campus. You can also ask the student to call you in the given number in case of any query.
Write the closing salutation like “Sincerely,” “Yours faithfully,” “Thanks and Regards” etc.
Skip three lines and write your (sender) full typed name again.
Now, take the print of the graduate school acceptance letter on good quality page and sign your handwritten signature in the space in between the closing salutation and your typed name.
