Pour the figs, cranberries, prunes, apricots, raisins and golden raisins into a bowl. Pour in a little water - just enough amount that soaks up the ingredients. Cover the bowl and let it soak overnight, at least for a time period of 8 hours.
Pour the fruit along with the soaked water you prepared earlier into a pot. Stir in the pine nuts and honey. Wait till a simmer or bubble comes out. Cook for 30 minutes while stirring occasionally till the fruit gets tender but doesn’t loose its shape.
Now remove it from the stove and pour the fruit and liquid into a bowl while not breaking up the fruit. Let it cool at room temperature.
Your salad is ready to be served.
