Verizon has decided to work with Extent to introduce the company’s GameTanium service to the smartphones and tablets.
It will be a subscription based service and will offer users a wide array of high-quality Android games for $5.99 per month subscription fee.
People, who subscribe GameTanium can download over 100 games for Android phones, and more than 50 Android tablet games. These games include hits like Fruit Ninja, World of Goo, Doodle God, Plants vs Zombies and many other exciting games. The service will also launch more games in the future.
The GameTanium app is available on Verizon Apps which can be found on more than 25 Android phones and 2 Android tablets. These include Motorola’s Droid Xyboard 8.2, HTC’s Droid Incredible 4G LTE and Motorola’s Droid Razr.
Verizon is offering almost the same service that is used in other social gaming services like Apple’s Game Center and Amazon’s GameCircle. The worth mentioning part is GameTanium brings the most famous games among the tens of thousands out there. According to Zvi Levgoren, CEO of Extent, “Exent draws upon its vast gaming experience to curate and catalog the best mobile games while working closely with our operator partners to ensure the catalog is consistent with their audience profile."
It is however, comparable to the Google Play game store. Users can get the pre-purchase information about the service on all app stores. The information can be regarding parental ratings, screen shots and most importantly customer’s feedback about the service.
Users can enjoy three-day trial period of the service, but soon after that $5.99 will be charged monthly. The GameTanium is an ultimate service for avid mobile gamers who used to play a lot of Android games. But, it is advised to try this out for the free period just to see how many games you want to play are available. In case, you do not find games of your interest, you have the option to cancel the subscription before it charges anything.
