Broward House Presents Cheech & Chong, at Hard Rock Live, Sunday December 15, 2013

For those of us who grew up in the 1970’s there was no funnier duo than Cheech & Chong. Their irreverent humor and satire has now become legendary. Recently announcing their first tour in over 25 years South Florida and the Hard Rock Live are in for one heck of a treat December 15, 2013.

Presented by the Broward House, South Florida’s oldest and largest HIV/AIDS community service organization, their promise and mission to the community is “to never turn anyone away from our doors who needs help no matter what their financial situation.” according to Terri De Carlo, Director of Development, Fundraising & Public Relations at Broward House. For this very special event one-hundred percent of the proceeds of ticket sales will benefit Broward House. It’s no wonder Cheech & Chong have graciously added this Special Benefit Engagement to their tours itinerary.

Never a duo to shy away from political issues or counter-culture Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong have laid the ground work other comedians can only dream of. Their stand-up comedy circuits have led to nine hit comedy albums, eight hit feature films (all directed by Chong, co-writing credits to both which include UP IN SMOKE, CHEECH & CHONG’S NEXT MOVIE, and NICE DREAMS), multiple Grammy nominations, and a loyal fan base that whether performing together or apart have stuck with the two for almost three decades.

There is no better cause and concert event to attend as this year comes to a close. To see these two comedy legends live and on stage for the first time in years will surely be a one of a kind experience. Give yourself a special Christmas treat this year and mark December 15, 2013 at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood on your calendar. Cheech & Chong live in concert may put you on Santa’s naughty list but I can’t think of a nicer way to give back to our own South Florida community.
