Childproof Remote Control

Here’s the problem. Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½ My family members have a difficult time trying to keep track of our remote controls at home. My 2 year old son handles the remote control as if it were a toy. He plays with it. He loses it or drops it. The remote control has been misplaced or dropped more than once, forcing us to purchase additional remote controls.Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½ I need a remote control that is childproof. Examples of child proof features include, shatterproof materials, tracking devices and wall mounting units.

The average remote control has many features including LCD touch screens, and hard or soft buttons. Average prices range from $39.99 to $169.99.�¯�¿�½

Obviously,�¯�¿�½dimension changes�¯�¿�½are needed to produce�¯�¿�½a�¯�¿�½childproof remote control.�¯�¿�½�¯�¿�½The remote could be made with more rubber components or insulation to prevent shattering if it was dropped. Another great feature would be to add a tracking device. A remote control tracking device, similar to a cordless phone base unit, would be helpful. If a family member was unable to locate the remote control a special tracking base unit could be utilized to find it. Or, if there are little children in the home, a wall mounting device would be useful to keep the remote out of reach.

A childproof remote could cause the price of remote controls to increase because of the added features. Remote control producers could add these childproof features to the low-end products rather than the already expensive models that currently have many features. This�¯�¿�½process could keep the price of childproof remotes�¯�¿�½more affordable.

Most�¯�¿�½households currently have remote controls. A new target market would be homeowners with small children.�¯�¿�½Other�¯�¿�½target markets could be child care centers and�¯�¿�½special educational facilities.�¯�¿�½ Well organized business people could find the wall mounting feature useful.�¯�¿�½ Unorganized college students may find certain features usefull as well.�¯�¿�½
