Scrubbing Bubbles Flushable Cleaning Wipes: Convenient Way to Clean Your Bathroom

As a mother of three boys under the age of six, two of whom are potty trained, it is very important that I wipe down their bathroom daily. Major cleaning occurs twice per week or more if necessary, but if I miss that once-twice daily wipe down, things get icky quickly.

I have tried several, different brands of cleaning wipes, the latest being Scrubbing Bubbles Flushable Wipes. I thought the Scrubbing Bubbles Flushable Wipes would be perfect because I do not like the idea of icky wipes sitting in the bathroom trashcan because it is only emptied twice per week. With Scrubbing Bubbles Flushable Wipes, I can use the wipe and then flush it down the toilet.

Scrubbing Bubbles Flushable Wipes are made from material that breaks up in water making it safe to flush without the fear clogging the toilet or harming the septic tank. We have had no problems with flushing the wipes. Scrubbing Bubbles Flushable Wipes are also biodegradable and not harmful to the environment. (Unless you count the chemicals that are used to make the cleaning solution, but I digress.)

Scrubbing Bubbles Flushable Wipes have a fresh, lemony scent and leave the bathroom smelling clean. The smell is very important to me and compared to other wipes, Scrubbing Bubbles Flushable Wipes have been the best smelling I have used so far.

So, they smell great, can be flushed instead of thrown away, are not harmful to septic tanks: But do they clean well? Scrubbing Bubbles Flushable Wipes clean fairly well. The wipes are wet enough and feel thicker than other brands of cleaning wipes, but because they are made from a material that breaks down when agitated in water, the wipes do not hold up for long while cleaning. Ideally, I would like to use three wipes per day-one on the sink, one on the toilet and one for small spots on the floor.

In reality, I use two-three for each part of the bathroom and wind up throwing them away instead of flushing them because I do not want to use that much water. The instructions read to only flush one wipe at a time. That is a lot of unnecessary water use for one wipe.

My recommendation is to skip the Scrubbing Bubbles Flushable Wipes and use a wipe that is less expensive even though it cannot be flushed. Scrubbing Bubbles Flushable Wipes have a great scent, but other wipes hold up better while cleaning and the convenience of flushing a cleaning wipe is an unnecessary use of water. The fact that it takes two wipes to do the job of one is a problem also. Use an old washcloth in a natural cleaning product like vinegar to do daily wipe downs!
