In a large mixing bowl, mix up some salt, freshly ground black pepper, finely chopped sprigs of fresh thyme, 1 teaspoon of freshly grated ginger, and 1 nicely minced garlic clove.
Drizzle 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of olive oil over the mixture.
Now, use a large spoon of wooden ladle to mix up the ingredients for at least 5 minutes or until the salt dissolves completely and all ingredients incorporate well to form a smooth mixture.
Arrange the 4 tuna steaks on a non-sticking baking tray and spoon the mixture on top. Now brush it all over the tuna steaks until they are thoroughly covered and coated. Use a plastic wrapping sheet to cover the steaks and leave set them aside at room temperature to marinate for at least half an hour to one hour.
Once the steaks are marinated properly, unseal them and place the baking tray on the rack under your kitchen’s broiler – about 4 to 5 inches from the heat. Broil each side of the tuna steaks for 3 to 5 minutes until they are nicely browned.
Remove from heat and arrange the broiled tuna steaks on a large platter. Garnish them with some fresh lemon slices or herbs if you want.
Warm the leftover marinade in your microwave over and drizzle it over the Broiled Tuna Steaks. Serve warm and enjoy.
