First of all, you have to install the malicious software removal tool from the official website of Microsoft. If you are using a registered operating system, you will be able to easily install the software without any trouble. On the other hand, if your Windows is not registered, you will not be able to install the software as it will not validate your operating system. In this scenario, you can either get your Windows registered first or you can simply install any other antivirus software. There are many different types of antivirus software (Avira, AVG, F-secure, Norton, McAfee and Kaspersky etc) which are available for free on the internet.
After installing the antivirus, open it by going to the start menu or by clicking on its icon on the desktop (if you have created its shortcut).
When the antivirus software is opened, click on the ‘Full Scan’ button in order to clean your computer from all the viruses and malicious software. You should know that full scan will take some time to remove the virus. However, if you don’t have much time, you can go for ‘Quick Scan’ option.
Hopefully, the virus will be removed by running a quick scan. But, if it is not removed completely, you will have to go with the full scan option.
Just follow the instructions on your screen to take the necessary actions against all the viruses tracked down by the malicious software removal tool. It will be better for you to delete the files containing virus. However, if the files are important, you can put them in quarantine.
You may have to restart your computer in order to complete the virus removal process.
