How to Make a Matador Martini

Planning to conduct a warm weather party? Then you might be definitely looking for a fruity, colorful and appetizing cocktail as hot summer days usually scream for refreshing drinks. Matador Martini, also referred as Tequila Matador, is one of the best cocktails in this regard as it is an amazing tequila-based festive cocktail to rock the spring and summer celebrations or get-togethers. It is a nice blend of five very easily available ingredients like Tequila, Triple sec, salt, Red Bull (energy Drink) and limeade. The pulsating yellow color of the Matador Martini automatically stimulates your taste buds.  Garnishing with some fresh fruit slices or fresh mint leaves is a superb idea to make it more attractive.

Utensils: Cocktail shaker or cocktail blender, cocktail glass, cocktail strainer

Tequila: 1 oz
Triple Sec: ¼ oz
Salt: 1 pinch
Red Bull: 1 oz
Limeade, frozen: 1 oz
Crushed ice: ½ cup
Lime or Lemon Slice for garnishing – optional

    Place a few ice cubes in a large cocktail glass and place in the refrigerator to chill, until you blend the ingredients and make Matador Martini.

    Now, take a cocktail shaker or cocktail blender and pour 1 oz of your Tequila into it.

    Top the Tequila with ¼ oz of Triple Sec, 1 oz of Red Bull and 1 oz of Limeade.

    Sprinkle a pinch of salt over the top of the liquor mixture and seal the cocktail blender or cocktail shaker by putting a lid to the top.

    Blend the liquor mixture for 15 to 20 seconds or until slushy. You can add in more crushed ice – if you like.

    Take out the chilled cocktail glass from your refrigerator and dispense the Matador Martini into it, using a cocktail strainer.

    Your Matador Martini is ready; it is the time to garnish it. Set a fresh lemon or lime slice on the side of the drink or simply float a fresh mint leaves on the top. Place a cocktail straw in it and serve immediately. Enjoy!
