Monkey Glands Cocktail is usually made from absinthe, but in place of this ingredient, some people also use Benedictine – which is also a commendable substitute. Bar tenders started adding Benedictine into this cocktail because U.S. had banned absinthe. However, today that ban on absinthe has been lifted and now people are enjoying the same old great flavour of Monkey Glands Cocktail.

Utensils: Chilled Cocktail Glass, Stirrer & Cocktail Shaker

Ingredients:

– 2 oz gin
– 1 oz orange juice
– 1/4 oz grenadine
– 1 dash absinthe
– Orange slice for garnish

    Take a chilled cocktail glass and whirl one dash absinthe in it until it gets coated.

    Take the rest of the ingredients and pour them into a cocktail shaker one by one along with ice cubes. Make sure you add the gin too.

    Then, shake it well until all the ingredients get mixed together.

    Pour this mixture into the cocktail glass from the cocktail shaker.
