First of all, take frying pan and pour some oil in it (up to 1 inch). Then, put it on the stove and heat it to 325 degrees.
After pre-heating the oil, take a large bowl. Then, put cream cheese, green onions, garlic powder and crab meat (if you want) in the bowl. Now, take a small bowl and put a dash of pepper in it.
After preparing the filling, take a wonton wrapper and put around 1 tsp. of that filling right in the centre. You will have to moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper with the help of water in order to raise all the points together in the shape of a square. After filling, it will look like a dumpling pouch. You can also make a triangle by just folding the opposite ends of the wonton wrapper.
Now, you will have to place the wontons in the fry pan. Fry the wontons until they become brown which will take around 30 seconds to 1 minute. The frying will not take much time, even if you are using crab meat. When they become crispy and brown, just take them out of the fry pan.
You should keep the wontons on paper towels after taking them out of the fry pan so as to drain the oil.
Your cream cheese wontons are ready to be served now. You can use any dressing while serving them.
