Having removed the shells, rub the peanuts together in your hands to remove their skins. Put the peanuts in the bowl of your salad spinner and pulse until the skin has been separated completely from the nuts. Finally, rinse the peanuts and pat them dry.
Pour the peanuts into a food processing bowl and add 1 ½ teaspoons of peanut oil or organic vegetable oil.
Also add one teaspoon of salt and 1 ½ teaspoons of organic honey to the peanuts.
Cover the food processor with the lid and pulse on slow for one minute.
Scrape the peanuts down from the walls of the bowl with a plastic spatula to get the peanuts back into the bottom of the bowl.
Again cover the bowl with the food processor lid and pulse continuously for a couple of minutes or until the mixture forms a ball.
The peanuts will release their own oil as you chop grind them. Keep on processing the mixture until you get your desired consistency.
Taste your freshly made organic peanut butter and add some more salt or honey if needed.
Spoon the butter into air tight jars and store in the refrigerator. It will stay fresh in the fridge for up to a couple of months.
