How to Solve a Rubik’s Cube

The Rubik’s cube is a toy that gained a lot of popularity way back in the 1980’s. People would go on and spend countless hours trying to solve the Rubik’s cube, which seemed to get harder each time you made a move.

However, ever since then, the Rubik’s cube has become a tool that people use to keep their minds sharp and fresh. It may seem like it is almost impossible to solve the Rubik’s cube, but you can actually solve it fairly easily, if you have a calculated approach to doing so.

Instructions

You need to start off by picking up the cube and singling out the square in the upper right corner of the Rubik’s cube. Now go on and rotate the cube so that the square which is in the centre and square which is in the corner match the corners on the top side of the cube.

The next thing that you have to do is turn the cube to the left and rotate it, so that the new top right corner of the cube matches the colors on the top and the front of the cube. Keep repeating this step until all the top corners end up getting matched.

Next you need to locate and place the cubes to finish off the top layer. Remember any top cubes that you move out of their spot, and keep in mind just how you will put them back into their spot at the end.

After you have done this, go on and solve the middle layer of the cube; align the centers and place the edges. Turn the middle layer so that the cubes in the center are all in appropriate sides. Then go on and move the middle edge cubes to the right place.

  • 5

Once you do this, go on and turn the whole cube upside down. You will now be facing the last unfinished layer on top. Match the corner cubes with the center cube on the new top layer that you have in front of you.

  • 6

Match the remaining edges. Then, solve the final two cubes, which will result in the Rubik’s cube getting solved completely. If you mess up at any point, go to the previous step and repeat the process.
