Identify your hair colour
The first and foremost thing is to identify your own hair colour and compare it to the shades of the dye you are using. If you are a starter, it would be appropriate not to take too many risks and pick up a colour, which is almost identical to your natural tone.
Wear the protective gear
It is difficult to prevent your clothes from stains while using a dye, so you should wear some protective gear like rubber gloves and an old shirt. Moreover, you can cover your ears and forehead with petroleum gel, as that helps staining.
Mix the dye as per the instructions
The product you will be using will have some instructions regarding how to mix the entire stuff. Make sure you follow the manual properly, as it will be important to keep the correct ratio of things.
Divide your hair in segments
Next thing is to tie your hair in three different sections, so that you can apply the colour with ease. You can use three clips to make several layers.
Apply the dye carefully
Use a brush, provided with the product, to apply the dye on your hair. This should be done with care, as the colour should not reach the scalp.
Wait for about 45 minutes
Once the colour is applied, you have to wait for about 45 minutes. The manual will have clear instructions about this, but it is better not to wait for more than one hour.
Wash your hair and allow it to dry naturally
After the time is complete, wash your hair and allow the hair to dry naturally. It is recommended not to use a dryer. Moreover, keep your hair hidden from sunshine for a week in order to get perfectly natural look.
