Product Review: Craftsman 1800PSI Pressure Washer with Turbo Spray

Pressure washers are great for general and heavy-duty cleaning around the house. If you are not familiar with these products, they use a motor to pump water through the machines hose as a high pressure. This high pressure can be used to remove dirt from a variety of different surfaces.

I have used the Craftsman 1800PSI Pressure Washer with Turbo Spray for a variety of different uses now. I purchased the product for about $200 but I am positive that it has saved me much more money than I spent on it.

The unit weighs about 20 pounds and it is on wheels so I am able to bring it to wherever I want to use it. The pressure washer has a 25′ hose and it attaches to any length garden hose so it should be able to reach to any part of your yard. It has a stainless steel wand that allows you to vary the pressure depending on the surface you are trying to clean. These features make me feel that this product is very versatile for any job you want to throw at it.

1800PSI puts this pressure washer in the light-duty category as pressure washers go. I do not need it to do things like removing paint so it is plenty strong for everyday tasks around the house. I like that it can be adjusted to be gentle enough to use on the car. In the winter when I am not able to get out there and soap the car up due to freezing temperatures, I am able to use the pressure washer to spray most of the salt and sand off the car and pull it back in the garage. This helps to protect my car from the corrosion of all the salt that would not get washed off another way.

On this low setting, I can also use it to clear leaves off the driveway and sidewalk very quickly.

The biggest project I have completed with this machine is cleaning the sidewalk around my pool. I was seriously considered getting a new sidewalk poured because the old one looked so bad. The $200 I spent on this product in no way compares to the amount a new sidewalk would have cost. I was able to clear off 20 years of mold and ground in dirt to restore it to its original color. This is something I tried to do with a scrub brush and soapy water and failed miserably.

I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking to cut down the amount of time they spend cleaning outdoors.
