Ginger Cucumber Salad Recipe

Salads are mostly served as side dishes and are prepared in no time. They are a mixture of many fruits and veggies and if taken regularly with meals, help in fulfilling the daily requirements of essential nutrients. They can be served in the beginning of meals as appetizers, between meals as side dishes or after meals as palate cleansing dishes.

Ginger cucumber salad is a very refreshing side dish and is mostly prepared during summers. Cucumbers when combined with an ever amazing ginger root together with salt, grounded black pepper and sugar make the salad uniquely delectable. While preparing this ginger and cucumber salad, it is suggested to be easy with the amount of salt that is to be added since we are also adding ginger root and soy sauce. Also some people like to serve it with dills.

After having it prepared, it is always recommended to refrigerate it to make it more refreshing and richer in taste.
Follow the step by step guide in order to prepare cucumber ginger salad:

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Refrigeration Time: 1 hour
Serving: 5 persons
Utensils: Pestle and Mortar, Standard Chopping Board, Standard Chopping Knife, Salad Serving Bowl or Platter, Salad Serving Spoon.

Ingredients:

-2 large Cucumbers
-1 inch long ginger root
-1/3 cup rice vinegar
-½ tablespoon salt
-½ teaspoon Grounded Black Pepper
-½ teaspoon Sugar
-½ teaspoon Soy Sauce
-1/4 cup onion rings

    Firstly make sure that all the veggies are fresh and upright and are properly washed.

    Take the cucumbers, peel and seed them. Halve them and then chop them in thin slices.

    After you are done with cucumbers, take the ginger root and peel it and then smash it with the help of pestle and mortar.

    In a bowl add the stated amount of vinegar, salt, sugar and soy sauce and then stir well into a slight paste.

    Now add the chopped cucumbers and the smashed ginger into this paste and toss well.

    Afterwards take it out in a serving bowl or platter and refrigerate it for one hour.

    Garnish with onion rings and serve.
