After passing the required tests in your state, you have to apply for a teaching license. You can easily get the teaching license after passing the tests with good results. After getting your license, you need to work as a teacher in a local school and gain experience. Most of the times, school administrators start their careers as teachers in high schools. In this way, you will be able to gain plenty of valuable experience regarding school affairs, management perspectives and student issues.
While teaching, you must study to earn an advanced level degree in the field of education. Usually, school administrators have Master’s Ed.S. or a Doctorate degree in the field of school administration. Then, you can qualify for the test which is required to become a school administrator. Just pass the test and apply to any school for the position of administrator. In the beginning, you will probably become assistant principal of the school and after gaining experience, your career will grow at a very good pace.
