Select the PowerPoint slide in which you want to hide text by clicking on its icon. Slide icons can be found under the ‘Slides’ tab located on the left side of the PowerPoint interface. Then click the ‘View’ tab located on the topmost toolbar in the PowerPoint interface. Under the ‘View’ tab, click the ‘Slide Sorter’ button. This will allow you to view text on all the slides.
Then select the ‘Animations’ tab located on the topmost toolbar in the PowerPoint interface. Highlight the text that you want to hide after double clicking on the slide. Look for the ‘Animations’ section under the tab. Select any option from the ‘Animate’ drop down list.
Under the same tab you will see ‘Advance Slide’ section in the top right corner. Check the ‘On Mouse Click’ option. All the text that you highlighted earlier will remain hidden until the click of your mouse.
There is another way to hide text in a PowerPoint presentation. Select the desired slide and click ‘Slide Sorter’ as before. Highlight the text that you want to hide. Go to the ‘Home’ tab. Now you need to change font colour. Choose same text colour as your desktop background. This will hide the text. Then go to the ‘Animations’ tab. In the ‘Add Animation’ section, choose the ‘Font Colour’ option.
In the ‘Advance Slide’ of the ‘Animations’ tab, choose ‘On Mouse Click’ option. Text will be hidden until you click the slide.
Hide complete slide:
