Procedure for Applying Madagascar Tourist Visit Visa from Ottawa

    Visa Application


    Visa Application is available at the Visa Section of the Madagascar Embassy in Ottawa. You can also download it from the official website of the Embassy. It can also be downloaded from the link given below.

    Visa Requirements


    After filling up you application form, attach the following documents:


    a)      Valid visa with at least six months till the expiry date,
    b)   Two photographs that are in passport size and have a light colour background,
    c)       A copy of round trip ticket,
    d)      Prepaid, self-addressed, stamped return envelope,
    e)      The Yellow fever vaccination only if you travel through an infected country before entering into Madagascar,
    f)       Visa Fee,
    g)      Bank Statement.

    Visa Fee


    Visa Fee is as following:


    Single Entry for up to 30 days stay:           Free
    Single Entry for up to 60 days stay:           $110.39 CAD per person.
    Single Entry for a stay up to 90 days:        $155.00 CAD per person
    Multiple Entry:                                                    $166 CAD per Person


    Visa Fee can be paid in cash or by postal order or by certified check made payable to the name of the “Embassy of Madagascar in Canada”.

    Submission of Application Form


    Application Form can be submitted in person or by mailing service. In case you wish to make the submission personally, the embassy's visa section can be visited from Monday to Friday between 9 AM to 1 PM. If you want to submit by postal service, use only registered mail to avoid the loss of documents. Also Embassy does not accept regular mail application.

    Processing Time and Collect Visa


    Standard Time for Application processing is five working days. However, the time may extend depending upon the type of individual application. Visa can be collected from the Visa Section of the Embassy after the specified time. Your visa can also be sent to you by post, if you submit the application by postal service.

    Before submission of application, check it final time for these documents:


    a)      Completed application form,
    b)      Valid Visa,
    c)       Two Photographs,
    d)      Visa fee,
    e)      Bank statement,
    f)       Travel itinerary,
    g)      Prepaid, self-addressed, stamped return envelope,
    h)      Certificate of yellow fever if required.
