Preparation time: 2o minutes
Refrigeration time: 2 hours at least
Serving size: 06
Utensils needed: serving bowl, mixing bowl, spoon or fork, refrigerator

– 1 large mango – properly peeled and sliced
– 250 g cherries – pitted
– 2⁄3 cup / 100 g seedless green grapes
– 250 g strawberries –  hulled and cut in half
– 3 large apricots – halved, stoned and sliced
– 3⁄4 cup / 55 g desiccated coconut
– 2 teaspoons caster sugar
– Generous pinch of cayenne pepper
– Generous pinch of mustard powder

  • 1

Take a large serving bowl and place mango, cherries, green grapes, strawberries, and apricots in it. Put the bowl away for now.

  • 2

Use a spice mill or pestle and mortar to thinly grind the desiccated coconut.

  • 3

Place the grinded coconut in a medium bowl and add in the caster sugar, cayenne pepper and mustard powder. Pick a large spoon or fork and mix all the ingredients properly.

  • 4

Now, drizzle the coconut-mixture over the fruit slices in the large serving bowl and gently toss to mix all in the ingredients. Cover the bowl with a plastic wrapping sheet and place it in a refrigerator for around 2 hours, or if at all possible, overnight in order to let the flavors blend well and develop.

Note: It is better to make Spiced Seasonal Fruit Salad prior to the arrival of your guests, or the serving time, so that you can get enough time to refrigerate it.
