How to Make Your Own Valentines Day Cards

Step by Step How to Make Your Own Valentine’s Day Cards

There’s nothing more heart touching than knowing your beloved has put their heart into making something for you. This can be as trivial as choosing a gift or it can be something like making a handmade card that requires effort and time. In this era of technology when people prefer wishing Valentine’s over the phone, through text messages and/or e-mails, making a handmade card is a great idea to show your loved ones how special they are for you. This article offers quick and easy steps to make Valentine’s cards.

Things Required:

a chart paper (preferably in red or white to go with the Valentine’s theme),
scissors for cutting,
glue for pasting,
glitter
and lace/beads (subject to individual preferences).

Instructions

  • 1

Cut the chart paper in a shape that you want your card to be in. This can be either in square, oval or round. If you have another chart paper in a different color, cut heart shapes and paste them on the main card. They can be two big heart shapes or many small ones before they are pasted. You can also cut out alphabets and paste them in ways that say phrases like, “Be mine,” “Happy Valentine’s Day,” or “I love you.”

  • 2

Give them an outline with glitter in a way that is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Make sure the colors used go with the Valentine’s theme and are not dull. So if, for example, the main chart paper that the card is cut out from is in red, hearts and/or phrases that are pasted are in white color and vice versa.

The next step is adding beads and laces to the card. The lace can be pasted to the corners of the main card and the beads can be used inside heart shapes that have already been pasted. This will give a fine finesse to the card, adding to its beauty. The beads can also be pasted randomly all over the card.

Once the card has been made, write a personalized message inside it that expresses your feelings in a romantic way.
