I love this simple ABC Nursery Dresser Craft Project because you can use sweet baby themed fabric as inspiration for your paint colors as well as your alphabet letters.

So, choose your fabric first. You can use baseball fabric, football fabric, baby pink fabric, or even vintage fabric.

Now, choose a paint color for your dresser based on the fabric you choose. Go ahead and primer your nursery furniture out and let this dry. Now, paint your nursery furniture in you pain color.

While the paint is drying you can work on the alphabet letters.

Use your chalk or marker to draw out nice puffy or fat letters on your fabric. If you want some continuity then try drawing the alphabet out on paper. Cut out each letter and use them as a guide. You could also use a stencil and trace your letters on the baby fabric.

Now, cut your alphabet letters out individually. Be sure to avoid any lines made by your marker.

Now, once the paint has dried you can apply your letters.

If want permanent letters you can use decoupage to apply the fabric alphabet letters. For a more temporary look you can use liquid starch. Liquid starch can be bought at any home improvement store.

Now, dip the fabric letters in the liquid starch. Press then into place on the dresser drawer fronts. You may want to lay stand the dresser drawers up so the letters can lat flat while they dry.

Continue this method applying the alphabet letters to the nursery dresser drawers.

Let the liquid starch dry.

If you use decoupage then paint some decoupage on the back of the fabric letter. Press into place on the nursery furniture drawer front. Paint more decoupage on to saturate the fabric letter. Let this dry.

Now, basically you are finished. Reinsert the drawers in your dresser and place anywhere in the nursery you want.

The liquid starched letters will hold until your peel them off. The decoupaged letters will be permanent on the dresser.

I recommend using thee fabric alphabet letters on the drawer front for more professional looking custom nursery furniture, but you can apply them wherever you choose!
